The giant camel spider, one of the worlds biggest spiders, lives in desert environments and comes from the Solifugae order of animals in the arachnid class.
Arachnids are joint-legged invertebrates that have eight legs and comprises over 100,000 named species including spiders, scorpions and ticks.
Also known as wind scorpions, and sun spiders, the Giant Camel Spiders are angry looking and imposing in size with some species growing up to 12 inches in length is non-venomous.
However, with its powerful jaws, it is capable of inflicting an extremely painful bite!
Their bizarre appearance can be startling to some, making them the subject of many urban legends including a 2004 email hoax with the infamous picture of soldiers in Iraq holding two fighting camel spiders.
They live in warm and arid habitats, and are omnivorous, primarily feeding on ground dwelling arthropods such as darkling beetles and termites.
But they have also been known to feed on snakes, rodents and as seen in this video, small lizards.
The male camel spider flings the female on his back to transfer sperm and fertilize the eggs. The female then lays up to 200 eggs, typically only producing one brood of offspring a year.
Compared to other invertebrates, the camel spider is fast on land with a top speed estimated at 10mph, approximately 1/3 as the fastest human sprinter.
Although relatively harmless, I would still not like to cross paths with this beast straight out of a 50’s b-horror movie.

New Delhi: Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who starred with superstar Salman Khan in the 2014 actioner “Kick”, now wants to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.
Asked if she is keen to work with Bollywood’s other two popular Khans, Jacqueline told IANS: “Absolutely. I think that is on everyone’s wish list… It enriches you as an actor… More the actors you work with, you learn a lot.”

Rio Olympics Begin Today: Here's All You Need To Know
The 31st Olympic Games will officially begin in Rio today with the opening ceremony at the Maracana Stadium.
Athletes from 206 nations and a refugee team are in Brazil to compete in 31 sports and be watched by a global audience of billions.
The build-up has been dominated by a Russian doping scandal, the Zika virus and issues with the city's security, infrastructure and venues.
But it is time for the sporting action to take centre stage as the first Olympics in South America begin.
When does it start?
The Games officially take place between 5 and 21 August, but they have actually already started.
The opening ceremony is at midnight BST on Friday but the action kicked off two days ago with the women's football.
An estimated three billion people will watch the ceremony, which has taken five years to produce and includes 300 dancers, 5,000 volunteers and 12,000 costumes.
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen and Briton Dame Judi Dench are confirmed to have roles in the production before the 207 competing nations take part in the Parade of Nations.
There will be 10,500 athletes from a record 207 nations competing in Rio, including the Refugee Olympic Team, while it will be the first time Kosovo and South Sudan have taken part in the Games.
The Refugee Olympic Team will compete under the Olympic flag and has 10 members - five from South Sudan, two from Syria, two from DR Congo and one from Ethiopia.
With 554 athletes, the United States has the largest Olympic team, but spare a thought for 100m runner Etimoni Timuani, who is the only athlete from the South Pacific nation of Tuvalu.
The Rio Games will be the first to feature Olympians born since the year 2000 - and the youngest is 13-year-old Nepalese swimmer Gaurika Singh.

Sending too many messages to unknown users could get you on their bad list. Spamming, which is mostly encountered by many users today, is usually done by marketing teams. With numerous messages being sent out to unknown people by spammers, they are destined to be on the radar. If you are one of those who keeps sending messages that are not related or important enough to an unknown recipient, you could enter the list for being banned. If you are sending out messages to people who you know, make sure that your number is added to their contact list.
Being blocked by many people is another cause of concern. Related to spamming, you could also end up being blocked by people who don’t have you on the contact list. Sending irrelevant messages or alike could get you blocked, and if you are blocked by too many people over a short period of time, could put your record on the ban list.

Lenovo Vibe K5 Note launched in India, priced Rs 11,999 onwards zigzag vision
Lenovo today announced the launch of Lenovo K5 Note smartphone in India. The K5 Note will be exclusively available from Flipkart from August 3 through open sale.
In India, the Lenovo K5 Note has been launched in 3 GB and 4 GB RAM models; both the versions come with 64 bit octa core Mediatek 6755 processor. In China, the K5 Note was launched in 2 GB and 3 GB RAM models with Mediatek Helio P10 processor. The 3 GB model is priced at Rs 11,999 while the 4 GB version will cost Rs 13,499.
With the device, Lenovo is offering an AntVR headset worth Rs 1,299, TheaterMax controller worth Rs 999, Skullcandy headphone worth Rs 1,299 and Amkette gamepad Pro 2 controller worth Rs 2,000. However, these accessories will be offered only for two days - August 3 and August 4 - as part of launch offer. You can also avail Flipkart’s exchange offer while buying Lenovo K5 Note.
The Lenovo K5 Note has a metal body and it comes with a fingerprint sensor. The phone has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) IPS display. The K5 Note offers 32 GB of internal memory and has a 128 GB micro SD card slot and has USB OTG functionality as well. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system based K5 Note has Vibe user interface and a 3,500 mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support.
The Lenovo K5 Note has 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1 and dual band WiFi. The smartphone flaunts a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel shooter at the back. Besides, it has dual SIM.
